Jessica Arpin is of Swiss-Brazilian origin. She studied circus at the Théâtre-Cirqule school in Geneva and at the National Circus School in Montreal. Since 2002 she has been performing in circus tents, theatres, street and cabarets. She has worked with Cia Nau de Icaros in Sao Paulo Brazil, Cie du Plat Pays in Belgium, Duo Roccoco with Luca Regina in Italy, Artcirq in Canada, and in Switzerland with Théâtres du Loup, Am Stram Gram and La Parfumerie. she has just premiered the show Garbuix with 4 companions, a production of the Ateneu Popular de Nou Barris (Barcelona), 20th Winter Circus. She has been touring with her solo Kalabazi since 2008 and continues to search for a husband on every continent of the world with her bicycle and a lot of passion.
‘Kalabazi’ is the story of a young woman who is getting married. She has everything planned: the location of the ceremony, the party, the guests and the catering, but she still feels that something is missing... the husband! She has one hour to decide between two brave participants from the audience, who will be her future husband, who will face a difficult love test to find out which one will be the lucky new husband. Who will be the chosen one? They will have to overcome dance tests, make declarations of love and many more crazy things that this young girl will come up with during the show. This show includes circus, clown and poetry, so it transports us from spontaneous laughter to deep emotion.
