In the purest tradition of the great comic duos —from Harlequin and Brighella to Laurel and Hardy— emerges the powerful union of Anna de Lirium and Colette Gomette, two clowns who bring female humor to the center of the stage.
Hélène Gustin (Colette Gomette) and Tanja Simma (Anna de Lirium) met on tour in Brazil in 2014, after years of searching for the perfect stage partner. Both already had solid solo careers, developed over more than 25 years on international stages, at festivals, on the streets, and in unconventional spaces such as hospitals.
Masters of visual clowning, each has crafted her own unique character that, over time, has matured and acquired a strong stage presence. Their encounter results in a rich collaboration, full of contrasts, camaraderie, and a wide variety of comedic situations.
One big and one small. One robust and one thin. At first glance, the physical contrast already generates a strong comic effect, although the relationship between the two goes far beyond that difference.
