Baccalá is a clown duo formed by Camilla Pessi and Simone Fassari. Both share training at the Dimitri Theatre School in Switzerland where they met and became two of its leading exponents.
This school brings together the traditions of theatre and circus, from pantomime and classical circus numbers to contemporary dance, based on movement and gesture. With their show Pss Pss directed by Louis Spagna, they have received 15 international awards, including the Avignon Festival, the Edinburgh Fringe and Cirque du Soleil.
Inspired by the silent film era, two characters take to the empty stage in a timeless performance of thrilling physicality and exquisite humour. An extraordinary show that fuses contemporary clowning with theatre and circus, bringing us closer to a different universe. A poetic and surrealist work that manages to be hilarious without saying a word on stage.
